This summer, students and faculty from Hungkuang University’s Department of Senior Citizen Welfare and Long-Term Care Business took their learning global!
Thanks to funding from the Office of International Affairs’ Higher Education Sprout Project, a group of 19 participants embarked on an exciting five-day, four-night visit to Malaysia.

During the trip, they explored two of Malaysia’s most respected senior care institutions—Ji Yuan Home for the Aged and Qingpingle Home—gaining first-hand experience, exchanging ideas, and strengthening the link between academic learning and real-world practice.

This cross-border experience gave students fresh insights and a deeper understanding of long-term care from a global perspective—an unforgettable step toward becoming future leaders in elder care.
